About this Case
Rekhi & Wolk, P.S. is pursuing a class action lawsuit against Skyhop Global LLC, and Edgardo Mendez (“Skyhop”) on behalf of Plaintiff and all others similarly situated, for willfully failing to pay employees prevailing wages as required by the City of SeaTac and Washington wage laws. Skyhop Global LLC is in the business of operating an airport transportation shuttle service that employed Plaintiff and proposed Class members to operate its fleet of vans to shuttle passengers to and from SeaTac airport and nearby hotels. Plaintiff alleges Defendant Skyhop violated prevailing wage laws by failing to pay Plaintiff and proposed Class members the prevailing minimum wage and paid leave for safe and sick time (PSST). Plaintiff also alleges individual employment discrimination claims against Defendant – that Defendant unlawfully discriminated against her based on her pregnancy and sex.
This case was filed on November 13th, 2018. The Court granted the Plaintiff’s Unopposed Motion for Preliminary Approval of Class Action Settlement on November 22, 2019. On February 28, 2020, the Court granted final approval. Notice has been sent out to the class on January 2, 2020.
