MENDIS, ET AL. vs. SCHNEIDER NATIONAL CARRIERS, INC.
U.S. Western District of Washington – Case No. 2:15-cv-00144-JCC
About this Case
Rekhi & Wolk, P.S., along with Terrell Marshall Law Group, is pursuing a wage and hour class action against Defendant Schneider National Carriers, Inc. (“Schneider”) to recover unpaid wages for employees who worked as drivers for Schneider while residing in the state of Washington. Plaintiffs Balapuwaduge “Marlon” Mendis, Michael Feola, Andrea Arbaugh, and Edward Ash claim Schneider has engaged in a common scheme of wage and hour violations, including failing to pay drivers for all of their work, failing to pay drivers for their rest breaks, and making unlawful deductions to the wages of drivers, and failing to pay overtime. The lawsuit is brought under Washington’s wage and hour laws, which ensure the fair treatment of workers.
On February 7, 2017, the Court certified the case as a class action. As a result of that order, Plaintiffs and their attorneys represent the following class:
All current and former employees of Schneider National Carriers, Inc. who, at any time from December 30, 2011 through the date of final disposition, worked as drivers for the company while residing in the state of Washington.
